Regulatory status
Revix SA OpCo (Pty) Limited (“Revix SA”) is a private company incorporated
and domiciled in the Republic of South Africa with Company Registration Number
K2018352788, and is subject to and in compliance with the CASP general exemption
regime for persons rendering financial services in relation to crypto assets
(“the Exemption Period”). The Exemption Period was established by the Financial
Sector Conduct Authority of South Africa on 19 October 2022 as part of its Declaration
of Crypto Assets as a Financial Product under FAIS. Revix SA actively meets the
exemption conditions (including but not limited to meeting Section 2 of the General
Code of Conduct for Authorised Financial Service Providers and Representatives of 2003).
Revix SA is accordingly a lawful CASP but not yet a licensed Financial Services Provider
(“FSP”) pertaining to Crypto Assets. Please note that no CASP or FSP will be permitted
to submit an application for authorised status in respect of Crypto Assets prior to 1 June 2023.
Further, and pursuant to an amendment to the the Financial Intelligence Centre Act of 2002,
Revix SA will be classified and registered as an Accountable Institution with the Financial
Intelligence Centre effective as of 19 December 2022. Revix SA has adopted and maintains a
Risk Management and Compliance Programme that applies the FATF’s Risk Based Approach
to AML/CFT and PF risks.
Revix International Limited is an International Business Corporation incorporated and domiciled
in the Republic of Seychelles with Company Registration Number 235645 (“Revix International”).
Revix International is not a licensed or authorised crypto asset service provider in the Republic
of Seychelles and is not subject to the regulatory oversight and supervision of the Seychelles
Financial Services Authority. Revix International Account Holders, as defined in our General
Terms of Service, are customers of Revix International, and not Revix SA. Revix International
has adopted and maintains an Anti-Money Laundering Policy that is compliant with the FATF’s Risk
Based Approach to AML/CFT and PF measures. Revix International will adhere to any regulatory
developments in the Republic of Seychelles including but not limited to registering with and/or
applying for the appropriate licences when required to do so in future.
